Therapy that begins
with curiosity

I offer a relational and integrative approach to therapy, grounded in curiosity, presence and respect for the whole person.

There is no single way that therapy needs to unfold. We may explore what is happening in your life now, the experiences and beliefs that have shaped you, the patterns that repeat in relationships, or what is being communicated through the body.

My work draws from counselling and psychotherapy, Compassionate Inquiry, mindfulness and embodied awareness, bringing these together in response to you and what emerges between us.

Ways We Might Work Together

01

A space to begin with what is happening now

Counselling & Therapy

You do not need to arrive knowing exactly what is wrong, or what needs to change. We can begin with whatever is present; perhaps anxiety, loss, relationship difficulties, a period of transition, or simply a sense that something in your life no longer feels right.

Together, we begin to notice the patterns, emotions and beliefs beneath the surface. I am interested not only in what you are experiencing, but in how it came to make sense, and what it may have been protecting or responding to.

Our work unfolds collaboratively, at a pace that allows greater understanding rather than forcing change.

02

Becoming curious about what lies beneath

Compassionate Inquiry

Sometimes we know intellectually why we behave or feel as we do, yet the pattern continues. Compassionate Inquiry allows us to look beneath the story and explore the deeper beliefs and adaptations that may be shaping your experience.

I may invite you to notice a particular phrase, emotion, memory or sensation in the body, and together we follow what emerges. Rather than asking “What is wrong with me?”, we become curious about “What happened, and what did I come to believe because of it?”

This can bring into awareness parts of our experience that have remained outside conscious understanding, often revealing that what appears problematic today once had an intelligent purpose.

03

Making space for what has been opened

Psychedelic Integration

A psychedelic experience does not necessarily end when the substance leaves the body. Something may have been seen, felt or remembered that continues to unfold afterwards, sometimes beautifully, sometimes painfully, and sometimes with considerable uncertainty.

Integration gives us a place to stay with that experience rather than rushing to explain it. We might explore images, emotions, bodily experiences, memories or insights that arose, and consider how they connect with your history and your life now.

The intention is not to impose meaning upon the experience, but to help you discover what feels meaningful and how what emerged might be lived and integrated into everyday life.

04

Learning to notice without immediately reacting

Mindfulness & Embodied Awareness

Much of our inner life happens automatically. A thought appears, the body responds, an emotion rises; and before we know it, we are inside a familiar pattern.

Within our sessions, I may gently invite you to notice what is happening in the present moment: your breath, a sensation in the body, an emotion, an impulse or the thoughts moving through your mind.

Over time, this can create a little more space between what we experience and how we respond. We are not trying to empty the mind or make difficult feelings disappear. We are learning how to remain present with ourselves with greater awareness and less judgement.

05

Listening to the quieter language of the body

Energetic Body Work

There are times when words can only take us so far. We may understand something intellectually while still sensing that the body is holding another part of the story.

This work brings gentle attention to sensation, movement, tension, breath and subtle shifts in bodily experience. Rather than trying to make something happen, we notice what is already happening and allow the body its own pace.

For some people, this offers another way of approaching experiences that are difficult to reach through conversation alone, while remaining grounded within the safety of the therapeutic relationship.

You don't need to know which approach you need

These ways of working are not separate from one another. My approach is integrative, and our work may naturally move between conversation, inquiry, mindfulness and awareness of the body according to what feels helpful and appropriate for you. Psychedelic integration is available specifically for those wishing to explore and integrate psychedelic experiences.
